Job Responsibilities
My major job responsibilities include the handling of funds five
days a week, student service duties involving loan processing in
the fields of book, tuition, and emergencies. Also, I am in
charge of producing, directing, and giving tours of the college,
communicating any and all aspects of the college in which
students, parents, and affiliates curiosities want explored. I
help in the production of schoolastic events on and off campus.
Another field of expirience I conduct is the production of
student identification cards, discounted bus passes, and
calculator loan applications.

Job Requirements
The nature of the program is to foster a connective spirit of
cooperation where students are able to: Develop as moral and
ethical leaders in a multicultural society, find a meaningful
sense of community, civility and citizenship.
In addition, identify and appreciate human differences, not to
mention enhancing academic endeavors. Through a diverse
offering of experiential learning activities, special projects
and supportive services, student leaders extend their resumes
for the work force.

Uppers
The best parts about my job are meeting new and interesting people, helping
students along with their educational desires and career paths, as well as the
discounts on school materials in our bookstore and tuition for classes on campus.
|
Downers
The biggest downer is the restrictions on number of available
work hours for student workers on campus- only a max of 20 hours
are available to be worked while taking classes on campus.
|
Lifestyle
The lifestyle provides out-of-classroom co-curricular experiences that enhance
and enforce the in-classroom academic experiences through leadership
opportunities, community involvement, volunteerism, and special services and
projects. It feels as though I am taking what I'm learning in the classroom and
makin it real. The dress code is very casual and "layed- back." The people who
work in the office feel like part of an extended family.
|
Compensation
The salary is steady, starting at $6.00 dollars minimum, for
student workers and is continually in review for raises- granted
the workload is getting accomplished and meeting the needds of
students and faculty. Discounts include free tuition on some
classes and a percentage deducted from bookstore purchases.

Advice to Jobseekers
Any job seekers considering this field should seriously consider
the potential for moving up and ahead in any field. The
expirience gained working on a college campus is a very healthy
addition to any resume. The training receivable is unrivaled in
any occupation involving a consistency of working with people.
Futures would be bright for anyone considering to further their
education of knowledge, people, and/or expirience.
