Job Requirements
While Saudi Telecom is interested in hiring primarily professional
people, of prime concern is accumulated experience in the tele-
communications industry. There are many disciplines within this
industry and the company is recruiting Engineers, Finacial
Analysts, Lawyers, ATM, IT, Human Resources, etc...

Uppers
Depending on your experience and assignment, the job can be very
challenging and rewarding. In my case, I was an "Advisor" to the
Director and had no specific job assignments to perform. I re-
viewed the existing operation and long term objectives and
then performed the necessary action.
In other words, total freedom, as long as you contribute to the
success of the operation in a meaningful and visible way.

Downers
The only downers are the strict local rules concerning religious
traditions (eg. dress code, prayer times, no public entertainment,
no women to meet or see while shopping or on the road).
|
Lifestyle
The lifestyle is different from the N. American way and I found
it very interesting to meet the local people and learn their
tradions. There are many nationalities in Saudi Arabia and the
Saudi's make it very obvious that they differentiate, based on
sex, race, nationality, and religion.

Compensation
The compensation can be extremely good and lucrative. Salaries
are negotiated based on about 20% education and 80% experience.
The big plus is that there are no "taxes" payable in Saudi Arabia
and if you can get "non-resident" status in your home country,
then there will be no income tax payable.
