Job Responsibilities
Your job is a caddy. Plain out simple. You are responsible for
maintaining the players golf clubs, bag, and assisting the player
in his or her round of golf. This might include some course
maintenance, yarding taking, reading of putting greens and so
forth.
|
Job Requirements
No classes are required other than the 2 week training course on
how to be a caddy. It teaches you the rules of the trade and the
rules of golf.

Uppers
The money. For an avg 18 getting $100 in four hours is really sweet. Plus you
get to me a variety of people, alot who are very friendly. You can enjoy
yourself on the course. Finally you get some good exercise. Roughly 5 miles of
walking each time you caddy.
|
Downers
The players can be really jerkish to you. If things go bad in
their game they can take it out on you. Sometimes you get
stiffed on your tip. Finally arriving really early in the
morning to the golf course waiting for someone to ask for a caddy
(which can take hours sometimes).
|
Lifestyle
Make your own hours. Plain and simple. You can travel every once in a while if
your player is really good and is playing in tournaments. Look at professional
golfers. Although its really hard to get a pro as a caddy. You wear specified
clothes, like a uniform, but not quite.
|
Compensation
Money is strictly up to your player. Theres a base fee which is
anywhere between $25-50, but your tip can be from anywhere to %50
to %100 percent. Most of the time its about %80-100 tips though.
