Job Responsibilities
My responsibilities each day were to receive incoming calls from our lease customers regarding there end of lease options on there vehicles. This was my main priority. Making sure the customers questions were answered and that they did not have to wait on hold long to get there options. This responsiblity absorbed about 5 hours a day. My other responsibility was to contact customers regarding there lease end options. My associates and i were given a list of valued customers that we needed to contact per day. This absorbed about 2 hours per day as we often left messages on the customers home phone. Another responsiblity I had as a lease consultant II was to creat e powerpoint presentations to share with my fellow colleages to teach them new updates/procedures that were going into effect from our portfolio ( mine was Saab Manufacturer). In my position also, I was in charge of half of our contacts with our Saab dealerships.. They called me direct to purchase vehicles that customers dropped off to their dealerships. Also the dealer would let me know of any problems/concerns that i would bring up to my manager to make our process run as smooth as possible.
Job Requirements
Remarketing services is very keen on schooling. Although i only had some college when i started there, they had many programs both offered AT work and depending on your tenure, they would cover a percentage of your costs if you wanted to take college classes that would better/further your career with there company.. I was able to take many popular classes ( time management, stress management..etc) that helped me in my every day job. The best part was it was offered AT work so i didnt have to travel. When you completed a course, you were given a certificate of completion showing you were educated in that area.
Uppers
The best part of working for RSA was the atmosphere. No matter how big the company got.. Everyone knew the owners as they would frequently come by just to say hi to everyone. It was a very " family" like company. The owners really cared.. Even enough that there were 2 incidences in which an associates family member died and they could not afford to fly for the funeral.. The owners paid for there flight. It is great working for people you really feel CARE about you. Makes you want to work harder for them because you have that special bond. Another great part of my job was being able to help customers make the best choice.. either way.. and to know they appreciated the information you were giving them. I learned much about the leasing business that i didnt know when i started. It helped me in my own vehicle decisions.
Downers
I worked in a call center.. the only bad part about it is sitting ALL DAY..
Lifestyle
I would definatley incourage this field.. It is a remarketing company.. Many businesses are looking for companies to make there calls.. receive calls.. dont think that will ever end but just expand
Compensation
Base salary when i started was 18,500.. However the raises every year are VERY good.. i left there after 4 years making about 30k/year take home.. they have very good holiday bonuses.. and incentives.. if you make the goal they set out for you every four months.. you would recieve about 900+ dollars depending on how good the group did. Benefits were great.. Only had to pay about 20/mo for full coverage.. 10 dollar copays.. They had many stock options and a great 401k.. they matched up to 6% 50 % if what you put into it.
