Job Responsibilities
- Run profitability analysis on projects as well as proposals from sales field. - Responsible for passing through price increases (think inflation and increased cost). - Managing pricing by customer, contract, item, item grouping, etc. - Extensive use of Access and Excel. - Multitasking and communicating via phone, email, and in person towards a common goal or through conflicts of interest.
Job Requirements
Must have financial background with a four-year degree as a minimum. Having internships or qualified experience is extremely helpful. Analytical positions provide one of the best views/understanding of company(ies). Highly technical and business skill set a huge plus.
Uppers
My position is very visible. I work with basically everyone in the company. My position entails maintaining and increasing profitability of my company. There is a ton of room for growth. A great starting point for the ambitious and goal-minded individuals.
Downers
A ton of work can be stressful. Without ability to manage multiple projects and work with variety of people, whether they get their jobs done or not, a person can't succeed in this role.
Lifestyle
40-60 is average. Again, a lot of room for advancement and high visible, demanding position equals expectations to meet those demands. Most analysts are sharp and smart individuals. I still have fun, as always, as far as going out and hanging out with friends. I just have more play money than I did in college. And, I continue to challenge myself.
Compensation
mid 40's in Denver. just started position. looking to get promoted within a year. it's a great opportunity here.
