Job Responsibilities
Managing projects as they relate to business enhancements
consumes about 75% of my time. Remaining time is spent with
staff and daily issues.
|
Job Requirements
Definitely need a high school diploma, however, college courses
focusing on project life spans and business enhancements would
prove invaluable. Also, ability to multi-task in any capacity is
a plus.
|
Uppers
Ability to work on issues that will make the efforts of the staff easier and
better in the long run. You feel like you make a difference. You are not just
doing the same thing over and over. Every project is new and challenging.
|
Downers
Dealing with staff who may be resistant to change or may have
difficulties dealing with "team" working envirnoments. Not
learning how to handle people regardless of what their hidden
agendas may be can ruin a good project.
|
Lifestyle
Normally I put in more than a 40 hour work week. However, it can run as high as
60 during a complex or priority project. I have been traveling almost weekly for
the last 6 months to support an internal transition. However, normally I travel
4-6 times a year. But again , this is based on the projects at hand. Dress is
business casual with Friday's being jean day.

Compensation
Current base salary starts at $50,000. Bonuses range from as
little as $25.00 to $2,500 depending on the complexity of the
project. Stock options are available once you acheive grade 10
or higher within the organization. Grades under 10 receive
profit sharing on an annual basis. Benefits are comprehensive
with flexible options for medical, dental, etc. They are offered
based on your needs.
