Job Responsibilities
My responsibility is to oversee the following objectives: To provide a 99.99% quality steam to a 230 Mega-watt capacity Geothermal Power Plant, including the re-injection of Geothermal Fluids back to the under ground levelreservoir, in order to replenish its geothermal water supply without contaminating the environment. To materialise these resposibility, an air plant is maintained that housed two air compressors (operating on alternate schedule), that supply compressed air(about 120psi) to pnuematic conrol valves that is automatically operated by computers (advance control modules) in order to automate its operations. An electric generator is also housed in the Utilities area, as an electrical back-up, in case of some abnormality that may occur in the power plant. These generators supply electric power to the compressors, so that the pnuematic automation in the field is maintained, including its computer process stations that commands the automatic operations of the control valves and other plant accessories/auxiliary equipment.
