Job Responsibilities
Systems Verification Engineer with focused work on the
development of a Carrier Class communications infrastructure.
Job description included but was not limited to the following
activities:
?? Hardware and Software Verification of such items as Linux
embedded operating system, SNMP MIB support structure, Basic
Blade Services, Advanced Foundation Services, MOTLOAD (embedded
bios), Blade Initialization, System Initialization, and
Configuration techniques.
?? Test tool design, research, and implementation
?? Test Infrastructure Design
?? Test Plan and Procedure writing and design from Industry
and internal technical specifications
?? Documentation of many sorts and flavors
?? Take part in the architectural forethought in designing a
carrier class communications product from the ground up.
?? Bug tracking and reporting, debug when necessary.
?? Customer relations as necessary to determine what is
required by the customers

Compensation
Not too shabby. Health care sucks but salary and other benefits
are fine

Advice to Jobseekers
Dont expect many offers if you're just entering this field at the
present time.. but i believe that in coming months or years.. the
telecom job front will pick up considerably
