Job Responsibilities
I oversee the execution of client projects. This involves
spending 4-5 days a week at the client site (often abroad),
overseeing team(s) of consultants and clients, to deliver
projects requested by our clients.

Job Requirements
Most consultants have 2.1 or better degrees from top tier
universities (e.g. Oxbridge, Ivy League), often in mathematical,
finance, science, engineering or economics subjects (although not
always - I am a Geographer!).

Uppers
Travel, variety, exposure to senior management, compensation, perks (e.g. travel
allowances).

Downers
Travel (4-5 days a week away from home), long hours.

Lifestyle
"Work hard, play hard". Long hours at times, 4-5 days a week spent overseas, but
compensated by a young, friendly culture of going out together as a team, project
dinners, social events, weekends away. Relaxed dress code when not at the client
site. However, not very diverse: predominantly male, especially at senior levels.

Compensation
Starting package approx ??42k, plus pensions, stock options,
travel allowances etc. Directors (partners) typically take home
$1m annually.
