Job Responsibilities
Spend roughly 3 hours in an 8 hour shift passing out medication
to 30-60 residents. Take another 2 1/2 hours charting on the
residents. Take an hour filling out forms, ie next shift
personnel, wanderguard checklist, door alarms, temperatures on
refrigerators, recording other info like I & O, Blood Sugars,
etc., filling out shift report. Roughly 30 minutes filling out
lab slips. An hour putting away meds and checking them in, Rest
of time is spent tending to residents, performing additional
assignments, etc.

Job Requirements
LPN program which was 18 month program, very intense.

Helping individuals.

Downers
Going to different facilities and working.

Lifestyle
Don't have a life outside work and family commitments (17 year old has a job,
but needs transportation to and from)(24 year old daughter needs transportation
to counseling, etc.

Compensation
I get paid differently for each facility. I get the pay but no
benefits.

Advice to Jobseekers
If you like a challenge, this is it. Long hours, no time for
yourself.
