Job Responsibilities
I am consulting clients on large number of topics: from how to
refuce costs at particular shop floor to what would the optimal
organizational structure of a company would be including number
of personnel at locations. Currently I am working with a team on
helping a client (large industrial company) to integrate with
its recent acquisition (cross country merger).

Job Requirements
People of different educational and professional level are
accepted to the Firm. What is more important is the fit with
existing culture and strong potential for professional growth.
Typical path for a non-MBA would include following steps:
Business Analyst - Associate - Engagement Manager - Associate
Principal - Principal - Director. A post-MBA would omit the
first step.

The most exciting about working at McKinsey is about getting the widest
experience in a number of various industries in a very short time. Also, during
your engagements you get exposed to the most interesting and influential people
in business world.

Downers
You have to work really hard - 12 or 15 hours working days +
some work on the weekends is quite common. And you have to
constantly raise your professional skills. The rule "up-or-out"
works constantly and with no exceptions.

Compensation
Compenstaion includes base salary, bonuses, annual salary
increases, medical insurance (incl. Family), lunches. Depending
on the location after 6 months Associates (and higher) get
opportunity for an interest-free home of car credit.
