Job Responsibilities
1.Monitor system performance of all Unix and other Operating
System Servers (80 servers in all) 50% of time.
2. Monitor, create, manage all backups of servers 35% of time.
3. Create manage all user accounts to OS's and servers 15% of time.
4. Manage all operational duties 5% of time.

Unix administration experience and systems admin clases
Windows administration experience.

Independence, can be done through telecommuting if needed, flexible hours.

lot's of responsibility, hours can be rough, such as call ins for break downs at
night, being on call all hours.

Lifestyle
We have a casual dress code, work hours are normally flexible but can be any
time of day or night depending on issues occurring, not much business travel, we
have summer picknics and Christmas parties, occasional pizza parties to celebrate
something. Normal work hours would be 8:00 to 4:30 with a half hour for lunch
(which is flexible) and 2 15 min breaks durring the day.

Compensation
Base salary = $40,000.
401K is matched to 3% of income.
Healthcare insurance, eye care insurance, dental insurance, life
insurance, all available, company pays 1/2 of premiums. Bonuses
awarded on performance in the form of stock options. Performance
recognition at time with gift certificates to local restaurants.

Advice to Jobseekers
There will be many opportunities in this field. Specialization
in particular OS's, for example, only Unix or only Windows, will
become more predominant.
Get experience on a wide variety of software OS's from different
vendors as well as the hardware maintenance and support.
