Job Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
Ontario Licensed Pharmacicist
Understanding of the Private Payer market
3-5 years experience in retail pharmacy is essential
Understanding of formulary submissions in private payer market
an asset

Contact with a variety of resources across Canada from pharmaceutical
companies,insurers,industry competitors and academic institutes.
Managing staff and helping an individual develop skills that improve their

Client service interphase-being the resource for internal departments as well as
external high profile clients

Inability to influence changes at the client level(insurance
company).
Inability to deal directly with consultants and plan sponsors
without the intervention of the insurer.

Lifestyle
Work hours 8:30AM-5:00PM. Some after hours work on occasional basis.
Travel to conferences requiring flying-1-2 times a year
Business functions outside work hours-3-4 per year

Dress Code-business casual . personally I dressed for business in jacket and
skirt 4 days a week. Friday perhaps pants and a casual jacket

Compensation
Base salary would be around the same as a manager of a retail
pharmacy.
Bonus is dependent on company performance. Salary band will
determine the amount paid if bonus is granted by the board.
Stock Options-seldom if ever worth exercising since the strike
price is usually unrealistically high in the tech world
