Job Responsibilities
My responsibilities are to make sure the "motel" is run in a
orderly manner, that means, that all services are meet that the
guest requests,that we can supply. The housekeepers are to do
there job and a good one at that, we need clean and nice rooms to
bring in customers, also selling rooms is what I do. I do alot of
advertising for out Motel. If I am not working at desk, as a
clerk, I am out trying to sell rooms to protential clients,
coming in from out of town to special events and stuff.
I have to keep all bookwork in order and all time sheets and
payroll in order. I have to make sure that all employee's are
where they are suppose to be at a certain time, so we can get
what needs to be done that day, and have all the rooms ready at
1p.m. to rent again.

Job Requirements
I have taken classes in Microsoft Word; Windows 98; Word Perfect;
Word Publishing; Comp I&11; Math of Finance; Business Management;
Ten-key; Typing; Accounting 1&11; Speech;
I make the dean' list.

I guess you could said the best part about my job is that I get to meet all
kinds of people, from all over the world. I have the ability to be able, to get
to know such knowledgeable people, and am proud, to have to say, I have meet
some, that are one of a kind.

The worst is probably being own call 24/7.

Lifestyle
It is a good lifestyle. I get to live on property. Which means I don't have far
to drive to work.....lol.....We do have a dress code, but it is not that
strict...just company shirt and pants. I get to travel some, which is good,
because I get away from business for awhile and a get a break from being there
24/7.

Compensation
I make a good salary, enough to get buy on and to put back some
for when I retire.

Advice to Jobseekers
If you love this kind of work, it is great. You have to like
meeting people, and putting up with all kind.
It is working long hours, sometimes double shifts, but it can be
rewarding and fun. It is according to how you look at it. This
can be a very fun and relaxing job, for the right person.
