Then there are ongoing online courses as required ie when

Uppers
The people within the organisation. Everyone within this organisation is so
nice and helpful and approchable. This even applies to the upper level
management (Chair and CEO). These two gentleman are very approachable and
willing to help you when needed. For instance when they visit our brisbane
office they give you a welcome hug. They don't make you feel as though they are
above you in any way. That is the way the whole company works. Everyone is
treated in the same manner regardless of stature or position.
Another upper for me would be the type of work involved in my position. I find
it very interesting as I have human contact on a daily basis and the medical
insurance industry is a very interesting one in relation to other types of
insurance. It also involves quite a lot of work with figures which is another
thing that I enjoy.

Downers
I can't actually think of any downers in this position.

Lifestyle
Work hours for this position are 9 - 5 with a one hour lunch. Travel is
included in this position as we have offices in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and
Brisbane. Since joining this company I have travelled to Melbourne three times
as this is where our central client services department is. As our line of work
involves a lot of business development, we attend a lot of medical related
conferences, student graduations, intern orientations etc at which we hold trade
stands to promote our products. Our Company also holds a staff conference in
December of each year which is held for over 4 days. This is held in various
locations dependent on our offices. For example - we had our staff conference in
Melbourne last year, so it is being held in Perth this year and will be held in
Sydney next year etc. This gives all staff that don't normally travel to these
cities the opportunity to see our offices.
Dress code is smart casual with dress down fridays (which we just love!)
Diversity is wide within our organisation as we have lawyers, doctors and
solicitors who deal with claims, risk management etc and then we have the
administrative and accounts staff.
|
Compensation
Base salary for my position is approximately $40,000 pa. This
includes paid sick leave, but not leave loading. Bonuses are
received depending on the growth of the company as we are a
member owned company and are therefore very careful with our
expenditure.
