Job Responsibilities
Ensure all parts of the business within my responsibility
maintain at a minimum legal compliance. However it is well
recognised and I am supported in insuring that the company moves
well in "Best Practice" in terms of Health and Safety. In
esence my role is to maintain people to ensure their health
safety.

Job Requirements
The Career path in H&S varies considerably. Some people come
from other skills such as engineering or Nursing as the career
path in terms of someone who has obtained further education in
H&S are few and far between. People usually start of as H&S
Representatives which a part of their normal role before
progressing to full time Health and Safety Roles and moving into
management positions.

Helping other people and improving their health. making a personal difference
in people's lives.

Politics and not often seen as a core business requirement.

Lifestyle
Hours often flexible and well varied. Plenty of opportunity to travel and
network with other like minded people.

Compensation
Compensation starts from normal graduate levels and goes up to
senior corporate management. Bonus and the like often come into
the more senior positions.
