I actually enjoy legal research and writing. I never know what the next project will entail. Thus the job is never boring. It is also a challenge.

Lifestyle
8:30 am.m to 5 p.m. There is occasional overtime when a project must be completed but that is seldom if the work is done in a timely manner. All legal holidays off. Most judges work with their clerks and give them time off when desired as long as they are there when needed and the work assignments are done when requested or needed.
Compensation
approximately $42,000 with no outside work allowed unless special permission is given by the judge. HOwever, the learning experience is great and helps prepare a new attorney for what he or she will be assigned in a law firm.
