Uppers
The best part of the job is the positive feedback I get from the clients I help,
ranging from giving hope to a hopeless condition to completely fixing a physical
problem that was thought to be a permanent condition.
|
Downers
Trying to help a client who's condition is too advanced and could
have been prevented.
|
Lifestyle
Work hours are as flexible as may be required. There are courses, which are
required, and seminars frequently available which may require some travel. A
professional casual dress is usually the norm in this profession. Helping others
is an absolute prerequisite for a Massage Therapist. The fame and fortune will
follow.
|
Compensation
30000/year approximately. Can be less or alot more if desired but
fluctuates with the seasons. Usually self-employed work (no
benefits) but could also work for a clinic, spa, resort, etc.

Advice to Jobseekers
Registered Massage Therapists are one of the futures of
healthcare. I will never regret learning this profession, even if
I can't do it anymore. There are times when you can't "fix" a
person's problem but they will always feel better after they leave
your clinic.
