Project Manager 1. Meetings with project team, and others to understand status, identify and resolve issues, and move the project forward. 2. Communicating status to stakeholders, senior management 3. Budget requirements, forecasting 4. User support, day to day issues/problem resolution
Job Requirements
1. Bachelors degree or higher. Technical or business degree. or equivalent experience. Breadth of knowledge a plus.

Big picture, see the deliverable, end-to-end, learn about different aspects of the project, improve relationships, communications skills.
Downers
Often have responsibility without authority, and using one's powers to 'influence' is often limited, commitment to project, or changes in org structure can frustrate. the project's deliverables more attention to 'how it looks' to upper management, then being honest about the project per se - i.e. political
Lifestyle
Depends on the project and one's responsibilities, basically up to the person to manage their time. Long hours generally not required.
Compensation
$125k to $150k with the usual benefits, etc.
