Job Requirements
I believe the minimum requirement is a degree from a four year
graduate program (translates to engineering) or a Masters degree.
Campus recruitments are far easier to get into the organization
than walk-ins. They stress a lot on learnibility. So, it helps if
you show that you're open to learning new and nascent
technologies as the situation demands

Uppers
- Open and Friendly Environment
- Actual development work (Not a back office. Then again, it depends on the
project)
- Strong Project Management processes. Skills I picked up there are still useful
and have impressed future employers
- Good training programme
|
Downers
- Compensation
- Socialist attitude. Nobody is fired but for moral shortcomings.
Hence, underperforance is largely tolerated, which can be
frustrating if you're in a team environment
|
Lifestyle
Work Hours: 22 days * 8.5 hrs (Somewhat flexible)
Business Travel: An onsite trip is almost guaranteed in a stint of three years
Social events: Limited. There is a quarterly project party if you're in a
project. However, no alcohol on company tab
|
Compensation
At the time of severance, I had about Rs.310,000 as gross pay.
The company is very prompt in returning retirement benefits
(Provident Fund, Gratuity, UnPaid Bonus) once you leave the
company

Advice to Jobseekers
The company is still very good although the rate at which they
are recruiting is a bit daunting. It is the best place for your
first job or if you want a job that's secure. However, if you're
up for a challenge, try elsewhere and return when your hair
starts greying
