Job Responsibilities
I am responsible for tradeshows and events, direct mail
activities, vendor relations, database management, image
management, coordinating all sales and marketing print needs, as
well as other various marketing activities.

Uppers
The best parts of my job are working with the various product managers to see
that there product launches with all the necessary tools. I also love interacting
with different vendors to ensure our products are marketed properly.

Downers
My least favorite part of my job can be dealing with the overseas
logistics of tradeshows and events. This can often be difficult
simply because of the nature of the circumstances.

Lifestyle
The work hours for this position can vary, especially with regards to tradeshows
and events. It involves business travel and weekends during shows, but there is
also a lot of freedom to work from home as needed. The dress code here at
Illumina is business casual. We have quite a few company social events, which are
extremely well planned and fun. Illumina puts a lot of emphasis on creating a
positive environment for it's employees.

Compensation
Compensation for this position is very much in line with the
market and location. I have no complaints in this regard. The
nature of my position does not lend itself to bonuses, but I have
found that the executives often reward employees in other ways
(spa certificates, cash, extra time off, etc.).

This field is great if you love people and are detail-oriented.
There are a lot of exciting opportunities for growth, and I truly
love it.
