Job Responsibilities
15% 1. Manages the Human Resources function and staff and with a
strong attention to detail. Acts as primary consultant to
Business Unit on all Human Resources matters. Maintains current
knowledge of local and state Human Resources laws, regulations
and issues. Recommends appropriate business solutions to issues
and problems. Provides management with explanation of Human
Resources philosophy and represents TransUnion at hearings.
Establishes and monitors operational performance standards in
compliance with company policy, procedures, guidelines and
maintains accepted and proper administrative operations.
Promptly and accurately processes Human Resources forms and
government reports.
20% 2. Develops cost effective human resources solutions to
business problems, directs audits of the human resources
functions, and designs management reports and analyzes data.
Oversees the corrective counseling process; works with management
to recognize strong and weak performance and develops ways to
keep communications open and morale high.
20% 3. Designs creative recruitment programs, and may play a key
role in management hiring. Develops detailed staffing plans.
Assists in developing a fostering an environment that will
attract and retain qualified employees. Consults with management
on morale, turnover, and performance evaluation. Selects
qualified employees and assists in determining division's
departmental staff size in order to meet proper service level to
customers within budget constraints.
5% 4. Keeps abreast of local Benefit and Compensation
practices, administers Benefit and Compensation plans. Reviews
job descriptions against actual job duties and works with
appropriate resources to resolve benefit and compensation
issues. Responsible for processing the annual salary plan.
Designs systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of
Benefits and Compensation documentation. Consults with Human
Resources representatives and management on interpretation of
Benefits and Compensation policies. Interacts daily with all
levels of employees concerning operations and Human Resources
activities and issues. Analyzes and prepares recommendations to
resolve compensation issues and advises management on issues and
develops optional solutions with probable results for their
review.
5% 5. Consults with management to identify development needs of
all associates. May be required to teach a variety of classes.
In addition, the incumbent audits the impact of training and
recommends improvements. Coordinates with OD & Training
Department to facilitate business unit training needs.
10% 6. Provides for staff development and cross training in
order to provide maximum productivity and flexibility to the
fluctuating level of service demands.
10% 7. Resolves a variety of employee relation problems.
Ensures legal compliance to issues central to HR activities.
Recommends and provides guidance on hires, terminations, salary
actions and establishing standards and procedures.
10% 8. Manages staff activity to ensure audit procedures are in
place. Ensures that information and document processing is
timely and accurate. Monitors practices to assure compliance
with all Human Resources policies and advises management on
exceptions and recommends appropriate action and required
documentation.
3% 9. Responsible for department budget.
2% 10. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Bachelors in Human Resources, Labor Relations or related
discipline required. Masters Degree and/or SHRM certification
preferred. Discipline specific continuing education.
