NEWLY ENROLLED WHO ARE ELIGIBLE FOR SERVICES. ASSISTING AND
SCREENING CLIENTS FOR ALTERNATE RESOURCES IF THEIR INSURANCES
CHANGE. THEY MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR MEDICAID, AND OTHER STATE
FUNDED PROGRAMS, OTHER PRIVATE INSURANCE, MEDICAL DISABILITY,
AND MEDICARE. THIS PROCESS IS ON GOING. DATA ENTRY FOR CREATING
MEDICAL CLAIMS FOR THIRD PARTY BILLING, PRINGTING, REVIEWING,
AND MAILING OUT CLAIMS. POSTING CHECK TO ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE AND
DOING BATCH POSTING SUMMARY REPORTS, FOLLOW UP ON ALL NON PAID
CLAIMS THAT ARE REJECTED, DENIED, INCORRECT, OR INCOMPLETE.
FILING AND SORTING DATA, OPENING MAIL DAILY, PRIORITIZING WORK
SCHEDULE TO COMPLETE TASK MOST URGENT OR WITH DEADLINES. REVIEW
CLAIMS DONE BY ASSISTANT COWORKER FOR ACCURACY AND TIME FACTOR
FOR BILLING IN A TIMELY MANNER. CALL THIRD PARTY PAYORS FOR
INFORMATION, OR FOLLOW UP ON CLAIMS, QUESTIONS, OR OTHER BILLING
PROBLEMS. STAY CURRENT ON RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR PROCESSSING
CLAIMS WITH THE CENTERS FOR MEDICAID AND MEDICARE, AND PRIVATE
INSURANCES. FOLLOW CONFIDENTIALITY FEDERAL AND STATE LAWS,
HIPPA, COMPLIANCE, AND RECORDS MANAGEMENT. KNOW CURRENT MEDICAL
CODING PRACTICES, AND BE AS ACCURATE AS POSSIBLE WITH THESE WHEN
ASSIGNING TO CLAIMS, ASK QUESTION FROM PROVIDERS OR MEDICAL
RECORDS IF SOMETHING IS NOT CLEAR AND PRECISE, NEVER SECOND
GUESS ABOUT ANYTHING. ALL MY DUTIES ARE DONE DAILY, BUT THE
BILLING AND POSTING OF CLAIMS ARE SCHEDULED TO BE DONE IN
BATCHES, WHICH IS USUALLY EVERY TWO WEEKS.

CODER, SKILLS IN ACCOUNTING AND POSTING PAYMENTS, AND RULES AND
REGULATIONS FOR SCREENING CLIENTS FOR ALTERNATE RESOURCE. INDIAN
HEALTH SERVICE PROVIDES MANY TRAININGS THROUGH OUT THE YEAR FOR
STAFF, AND NEW STAFF THAT ARE HIRED. THIS INCLUDES TRAINING ON

LOCALLY AT THE UNIVERSITY, AND IT PERTAINS TO THEIR WORK, THEY
CAN ADJUST TIME AND ATTEND CLASS DURING THE DAY. BOOKS,
MATERIAL, AND PERDIEM FOR TRAINING AND CLASSES ARE PAID FOR BY
THE EMPLOYER. EDUCATION AND TRAINING IS VERY IMPORTANT TO THE

HAVING WEEKENDS OFF, AND HOLIDAYS. WORK 8AM TO 4 PM MONDAY - FRIDAY. CAN EARN
FLEX OR COMP TIME, AND ADJUST HOURS OUT IN THE FUTURE. OFFICES ARE CLOSED ON
WINTER STORM OR SNOW DAYS WHEN THE LOCAL AREA SCHOOLS ARE CLOSED. ABLE TO TAKE
EXERCISE TIME OFF FROM WORK THREE DAYS A WEEK FROM 3PM TO 4PM WITH SUPERVISORS
PERMISSION FOR WALKING,OR ANY PHYSICAL EXERCISE OFFERED BY THE EMPLOYER AT OUR
WORK SITE. WE HAVE A GYM, WALKING TRAIL, WEIGHT AND EXERCISE ROOM, AND A FITNESS
INSTRUCTOR THAT SCHEDULES DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES THROUGH OUT THE YEAR, BASED ON
THE
SEASONS. SOME CHOICES ARE HIKING, WALKING, SNOWSHOEING, VOLLEYBALL, BASEBALL,
AEROBIC CLASSES, PILATES, AND OTHERS. ALLOWED TO ATTEND TRAININGS IN STATE AND
OUT OF STATE PERTAINING TO JOB, ATTEND HIGHER EDUCATION IF PERTAINS TO JOB.
TRAININGS, HIGHER EDUCATION, AND FITNESS ACTIVITES INCLUDE OUR REGULAR PAY WHEN
EMPLOYEES ATTEND THESE THINGS. NO PROBLEM IN GETTING UP TO DATE COMPUTER SYSTEM

TO BE HONEST, I CAN NOT THINK OF ANY DOWNERS IN THE JOB. THE
BENEFITS, PAY AND SUCH ARE EXCELLENT. THE JOB IS BUSY AND NEVER
DONE, IT JUST CONTINUES AND CONTINUES WITH OUT CATCH UP, BUT
THAT IS PART OF THE BILLING PROCESS WITH MEDICAL CLAIMS, AND
WITH THE POSTING OF INSURANCE PAYMENTS, FOLLOW UP ON REJECTED
AND DENIED CLAIMS. ONE PROBLEM THAT HAS RECENTLY BEEN A PROBLEM
IS BILLING MAINE CARE WHICH IS THE STATE OF MAINE'S MEDICAID
PROGRAM. THE STATE HAS SET UP A NEW COMPUTERIZED SYSTEM AND MANY
PROVIDERS ARE NOT GETTING PAID ON A REGULAR BASIS, AND THERE ARE
MANY MORE BUGS IN THE SYSTEM THAT THE STATE IS TRYING TO
RESOLVE. HARD TO KEEP UP ON RULES, REGULATION, LAWS, AND
POLICIES THAT PERTAIN TO BILLING, CONFIDENTIALITY, HIPAA,
RELEASE OF INFORMATION, COVERED AND BILLABLE SERVICES,
COMPLIANCE ISSUES, AND DOING EVERYTHING WITH THE BILLING AND
MEDICAL RECORDS MANAGEMENT CORRECTLY TO BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH
THE SPECIFIC POLICIES FROM THE GOVERNMENT. DAILY READ UPDAYES
FROM MAINE CARE AND MEDICARE FOR UPDATES AND CHANGES, ADD THE
