I am responsible for creating ads for clients of our company delivered to us via
sales
reps.

Job Requirements
i graduated college with a b.s. in graphic design. we had a heavy workload,
small
classes and only a couple of teachers. they graded pretty tough, too.

Uppers
getting to be creative and gaining appreciation from clients when they like what
you've done for their business.

Downers
being treated as second class when reps/clients don't get what they want even
though most of the time they don't really tell you what they want. also having
to work
overtime to meet deadlines can be rough.

Lifestyle
don't expect to get treated with great respect or get paid a lot when you first
start.
you really have to work hard and earn those things. and don't let criticism keep
you
from designing what you think is the best solution for the issue at hand. you
can't
please everyone and as long as you and the client are ok with, screw everyone
else. ;)

Compensation
my base salary was 26k/yer i believe. which isn't much. esp. when i spent much
more
than that getting my degree. we do have pretty good insurance, etc. raisies are
pretty
low but we do get a bonis every year in november.
