Job Requirements
Academic Nature of the program is very informative, Classes were interactive,
the grading was based on performance, the professors were good and the
workload....'carryable'.

You get to make your own schedules and the experience obtained is priceless.

Downers
Generally as a Manager in retails, you could get called in at odd hours, on your
days off too...and you have to be there (unless you're out of town).

Lifestyle
Work hours are longer than usual hours because you can't be a 'clock gazer', so
you end up spending longer time at work than those that are paid hourly.
Business travel also affects your family. The company's social events are fun.
The dress code for other employees is casual, but most times as a Manager, you
have to dress formal.

Compensation
The compensation is manageable...but I guess they could do better (don't we all
wish that from our employers?). We earn about 75 to 80 grand per annum, there
are bonuses, stock options and employee discounts on purchases, medical benefits,
etc.

Whatever you earn in whatever industry, save for the rainy
day! So you don't learn the hard way.
