Job Responsibilities
My job responsibilties are to greet customers entering the
store, straighten clothing apparel as it becomes mess-up by
customers, help customers find their sizes, assist customers to
the fitting room, and to ring-up customers on the cash register.
Most of my day is spent helping customers on the sales floor and
I assist at the cashier as needed.

Job Requirements
This position doesn't require any education whatsoever and there
are a lot of people that go into Fashion Retail directly out of
high school, but it helps to have a Business Degree.
|
Uppers
The best part about my job is the clothing discount. I get 50% off of two items
each month which are regularly priced and 30% off of any amount of items in the
store every month for me, my spouse, and family.
|
Downers
The worst parts about my job is standing for long periods at a
time, but no longer than 4 hours, having to deal with customers
who complain about the clothes, the colors, and the lack of
sizes, and having to work in large crowds in the mall and store.
|
Lifestyle
The employees are quite diverse in race, but the age range is probably from
18-40. The work hours are pretty good, if you are hourly, you can't work over 40
hours/week and if you are part-time, you can't work over 30 hours/week. The store
does hire a lot of seasonal help, if you are just looking for seasonal work or
experience. This company does a lot of charity work for the AIDS foundation too.
|
Compensation
I started out making $7.75/hour for part-time, seasonal help. I
hope my position goes to regular part-time after the holidays.
The company does offer a wide range of benefits too.
