Job Responsibilities
Iam part of a GE Leadership program, which accelerates IT
careers. Its called the Information Mgmt.leadership Program (IMLP)
where we do 4 rotations in 2 years across different IT areas and
get trained in Six Sigma, Proj. mgmt, financial skills, IT
related areas as part of the program.

Approximate amount spent each day: 10 hours.
There are two bootcamps held in Singapore and in the US as part
of the course curriculum.

Job Requirements
Hiring - preferably undergrads with experience in
IT/Engineering/BIS degrees. Ppl in the US usually intern for 3
months before being offered a final position based on performance.
There will be 2 rounds of interviews to determine selection
criteria. Interviews are chiefly on leadership initiatives taken
in college, academic excellence and extra curricular activities.

Ups:
1. Getting 6 months of international experience
2. The bootcamps abroad where we get to meet 150 diverse ppl of the same profile
across GE.
3. Exposure to leadership at GE and fast track career growth.

Downers
Downs:
1. Working in the Indian arm of the company is a big downer
2. Sometimes, rotations are not properly scoped out leading to a
six month waste.

Lifestyle
Work hours- flexible, expected to put in 8 hours,but not mandated as long as one
can get the work done.
Business Travel- twice abroad every year at a minimum
Company social events- lost track of them, keeps happening every 2 weeks
atleast.
Dress code- Business formals
Diversity- all nationalities and gender represented proportionately.

Compensation
Base salary in India- 500000
Annual increments of 20% average. Stock options- can be opted
after 3 months in the company.
