Advice to Jobseekers
Outsourcing trend of development jobs likely to continue in future; enterprise architecture is a 'higher order' activity, and is probably best kept close to HQ and business customers. This makes it somewhat resistant to outsourcing. MNote: This is less true for solutions architecture. Success in this field requires, technical depth, business savvy, evangalism, and the ability to articulate why we should all strive for enterprise- wide 'global optimum' vs. a many (seemingly) independent 'local optimum'.
