Job Responsibilities
I spend the majority of my time and both strategic (80%) and
tactical (20%) on HR related issues such as benefits, recruiting,
strategic management, employee development, human resource
development, and employee relations. Other duties include safety
and health.

Job Requirements
I pursued a course of study at Bowling Green State University,
where I obtained my BSBA in Business Administration. My major was
health care administration, with a focus on personnel management.
I would say that my course of study was demanding, that I was
typically able to obtain the classes and professors that I
requested. I felt that all grading was fair, and I felt that the
workload assigned was never unbearable.

Uppers
I enjoy interviewing and making job offers to candidates. I also enjoy training
and development. I enjoy the ability to interact with others in a training on
consultative setting. I am driven to help and see people be successful. Failure
is not an option. I also enjoy the analytical aspects of my job in developing
metrics, creating reports, and interpreting data.
|
Downers
I don't enjoy disciplining, counseling, or terminating employees.
It is the least favorite part of my job. However, I also strive to
turn negative situations into positive situations while obtaining
the cooperation and trust of the employee.
|
Lifestyle
I work typically 45-50 hours per week. I travel to satellite offices 10% of the
time. We are diversity driven, and we also have a business casual work
environment. The company is very concerned about a good balance between personal
and professional lifestyles. We want to see our people succeed, and we empower
and encourage our employees to be successful.
|
Compensation
I receive $47,000 a year, plus a 10% bonus potential paid
quarterly. We have a comprehensive and competitive benefit package
that includes medical, dental, life, 401(k), STD, LTD, FSA,
tuition reimbursement, health club reimbursement, among others.
Our pay is very competitive within our market.
