Job Responsibilities
I have got into the program last year. This is the highest position held from my perspectives. Petty Cash and Expense Approval, Team and Department Performance Measurement, Inventory Auditing, Rolling Forecast, Weekly and Monthly Sales and Performance reports... Regular hours were 9 to 6, Monday to Friday. But I worked for 10 or more hours each day, and I had to almost always work without weekends.
Job Requirements
The first year program is guided by the school. The first semester is vigorous and challeging not only because of overwhelming class assignments but also because of getting back to academic environment. Getting into classes is not hard, but keeping up with the required GPAs is not easy. There are outstanding professors. I believe that the professors do their best to make the class grades fair. Of course, I am satisfied with everyone for 100%, but I'd like to say the gradings are pretty fair:still giving an A. I am getting the knowledge as much as I am willing to acquire.
Uppers
I was able to learn the operation of the company from the management position. The position also provided me with how to look at the company as a financial entity. Namely, I learned how money moves from the initial inflows to the end outflows.
Downers
Even though the position is important, the job requires constant overtime work in nature. If the company is at a very stable position, the position can be tedious due to the fixed cycle.
Lifestyle
It is a stable job. Once you are used to the position, you can enjoy the stable life and income. If you are willing to learn additional knowledge, you have a couple of chances each year. You do not travel a lot until you are promoted to the much higher level to audit other sectors. One bad thing is that everyone is nice to you, but you feel some distances from everyone.
Compensation
All I can say is that you earn above average of the overall salary range in your age group and with your education level.
Advice to Jobseekers
If you like to have a stable job and income, you are at the right spot. If you are a number person who really enjoys looking at numbers all day, you are at the right spot. If you stay at the position long enough, you will surely earn the money and authority. The importance of the job will increase in the future.
