Job Responsibilities
Ensure the safety of aircraft by sequencing their landings and
takeoffs (100%). Apply regulations concerning the space between
landing and departing aircraft (100%). Perform weather
observations (10%). Broadcast weather observations via ground
transmissions and computer systems (10%).

Job Requirements
Computer-based learing programs are done monthly. A review of
memorandi concerning the security and laws of air traffic are
reviewed daily.

Compensation
Salary is above $35,000 to start and can exceed $100,000 for the
most experienced person at the busiest airport. As a federal

Although some functions of the work can be automated, it would be impossible to
replace the service that the controller
provides with his eyes, ears and intuition. Although some
