Job Responsibilities
Assisted company's Director of Business Development in making strategic decisions to develop wastewater treatment market in Mainland China, by conducting research and collecting and analyzing market and legal information on wastewater treatment market in Mainland China. Developed and maintained a database containing information on company's Chinese partners as well as company's clients from Mainland China. Managed direct solicitations to ninety companies and communication with potential partners via e-mail, facsimile and telephone, generating a multitude of positive responses from potential Chinese partners, which are in the process of setting up a partnership with the firm. Facilitated the establishment of a partnership by maintaining good relations with potential Chinese partners and by providing assistance in offering training and other help to these potential partners. Assisted the Director of Business Development, the Director of International Sales and the Director of Engineering Department preparing presentations in trade shows conducted in Mainland China, effectively establishing the company's image as a top US manufacturer of wastewater treatment equipment.
Job Requirements
the marketing position in a chemical engineering firm is not very promising, for high level managers all have background of chemical engineering. this marketing position is not key to the firm's operation, the sales is more cruicial to the firms survival, given that this firm is a small firm, with around 300 employees. the boss has engineering background, so he doesn't care about the Marketing thinking. just want to see result brought by sales, rather the long term yet unobvious marketing impact.
