Long work hours, very few company events or travel. We have the ability to dress
casual, for instance on production days when we don't meet with the community,
and dress up when we're working with the public.

Compensation
Base salary $28,000, health benefits... nothing else. Very little chance of
raises.

Newspaper editing is exciting and there's great possiblities in print/online
journalism. It's important dor anyone interested in the field to understand the
growing online news community and learn html and how to write for online
publications.
Generally, the hours range from relaxed to extemely busy and you have to have a
flexible schedule and the ability to work 24-7 if the need arises.
