Job Requirements
I needed a BA in anything. I attended Lenoir Rhyne College. It
was a small college so there wasn't a great deal of class choice
but I had some great professors. The work was challenging but
interesting.

Uppers
The best part of the job is working with the families and seeing their success.
I also love working with the children and seeing them years later.
|
Downers
Many families have problems that can't be solved. Children are
hungry and don't have the right clothing for the season and
their isn't anything you can do for them. The paperwork to
accomplish even a small thing is enormous.
|
Lifestyle
The lifestyle is comfortable. I worked 40 hours per week with lot's of holidays,
sick days and personal leave days. In the summer I good schedule my hours to have
Fridays off. The dress code was business casual and travel was limited to local
locations except for a few times a year when the company paid for us to travel
for training.

Compensation
The salary was a drawback. I only made about 30,000 a year. I
did get two bonuses per year that were nice and all insurance
paid. I also had a 401K match plan.
