Job Responsibilities
Major job responsibilities include procuring new customers in a
model home setting as well as introducing our products to the
community at large. Marketing our product to realtors in the
area is essential as well. I also have an additional
responsibility of creating promotional ideas aimed at the
realtor market in the area for the company.

Job Requirements
No specific educational requirements are needed. Some states
require a real estate salesperson's liscence, but not all. An
ability to multi-task and be extroverted is essential.
|
Uppers
There are always market manager assistants needed to cover for market managers
who are absent. You can work full or part time, depending on your desires. It is
very easy to move upward into a fully commissioned job where salaries are very
substantial.
|
Downers
The amount of work to be done varies greatly and is dependent
upon the number of customers that walk through the door. Some
days can be very hectic and others can be very boring. Usually
weekend work is required.
|
Lifestyle
A flexible lifestyle is needed for this position and for this industry in
general. If a customer is only in town for a short amount of time, you must
accomodate their needs. Weekend work is a must and often late hours. However,
most model homes don't open until late morning. Stylish yet professional dress is
needed.
|
Compensation
Depending on the time in the position and any extra work you may
take on, a market manager assistant can be paid an hourly wage
of $9.00-$15.00 or a salary of $24,000-32,000/year. Bonuses are
usually paid depending on how many sales were made in the
month/quarter/etc.

to those still in college or new mothers who just want to get
out of the house for a few days a week or for recent retirees.
