Job Responsibilities
Job consist of doing pre vitals on patients. Hooking them up on
dialysis machine. Monitoring the patients the entire treatment.
I draw labs on patients. I also draw blodd on patients who are
on the trasplant list. I also train the new Patient Care Techs.

Job Requirements
The training prigram that Davita puts you through is excellent.
You train on the floor with the precepter and than they send you
away for 2 weeks for class room training. You get your
certifcation from the class.

Uppers
Being a caregiver for dialysis patients is very rewarding. You are giving these
people another chance at life. You develp special relaionships with each one of
your patients.

Downers
The worst part of the job is seeing these patients lives totally
change because of thier health. It's also hard when one of your
patients pass away.

Lifestyle
The hours are early. I have to be at work at 5 am. I get off aroung 3:30 0r
4:oo. Our company provides us with our first set of scubs and than can order
more and thier not real expensive.

Compensation
The pay is great and if your full time you earn up to 4 weeks
paid vacation. The benefits are very good too.

Advice to Jobseekers
It's a difficult job until you learn it. Just hang in there it
gets better as the days go by. It's a very fun job if you have
the right teammates.
