Job Responsibilities
It is my responsibility to answer incoming calls for pickups, to book appointments of outgoing freight, to book incoming freight, to label all incoming freight to have the bills typed for, to call these clients to book those appointments, to keep track of swamper hours and to make sure the information is forwarded to head office, to book said swampers for next day deliveries, to enter all dock deliveries to system for foremen.
Job Requirements
A great phone manner, patience and the ability to multi-task is a great asset.
Uppers
Talking to the clients and building a repoire with them over the years.
Downers
Having the boss take the customers side when all aspects point to the fact that the customer is not always right.
Lifestyle
It is a regular 8 hour job, 730 am to 430 pm with a hoour lunch.Dress is office attire or casual. There is four social functions a year that we pay for with the social club funding that we can join when we start at the job.
Compensation
Start bottom of the pay scale and you are graded according to the union contract.
