Job Responsibilities
Assisting over 5,000 Guests per day with information on our various sites at the Detroit Zoo. Selling new ideas to guests that management had brought into effect; Example Selling train cards worth $16.00 each, sold 100 to 150 each day. Sold tender seats, where the customer could ride up front with the conductor, selling over 20 to 50 each day. Becoming a team leader and advisor to each employee. winning the city Rose Award for customer services.Working in the events office assisting customers with their planning for their wedding day or company function for a special event.
Job Requirements
My schooling details the medical profession from care giver for the elderly to medical assistant, phobotomy, nursing assistant, and working in hospitals caring for patients with aides, shingles or psychotic problems, working with churches visting the seniors, taking them to hospitals, assisting them with cooking and shopping. Taking up a biology class at the local university.
Uppers
Seeing customers smile when saying to a guest "may I be of assist to you". Selling products to benefit the company, teaching people who work with me new ideas to benefit the company. Having new ideas to share with company management, department, Supervisors, and Human Resources, that were accepted and placed into motion. What I like most about my job is my ablity to grow and learn new things that not only benefited meyself but others as well.
Downers
Lazy employees, people who are not there to do their job, but are only there to recieve a pay check. People who are in a higher classication than you are, are afraid to let you succed because they think that you are going to take their job. They won't work with you or teach you anything but the basic requirements.
Lifestyle
My life style for this position is very active, always on the move, with many job titles. My hours various from a regular 40 hour work week to 60 hours depending on special events. My dress code is casual brown pant company shirt or dress clothes for events.
Compensation
My compensation include a base salary, extra pay for working out of classification, and customer satisfaction. My bonuses included becoming a teamleader an employee of the month and an out standing award from the city for customer services with perks.
