Job Responsibilities
I am a former Washington Mutual Finance employee and worked in a
different department. When Citi took over we were shifted into
other positions. Now I use the internet and other media to search
for contact numbers for accounts that have no way to be
contacted. Sometimes this is because our customer moves and
forgets to tell us and sometimes its because they are not paying
and dont want to be found.

Job Requirements
There are many jobs in our center that does not require a college
education. Citi has maintained a great training program for
collectors and other areas of employment in our center.

Uppers
I have to say this is a great company. We recently had a hurricane come through
and destroyed the center where I work. Not only did Citi continue paying us
while we could not work, other centers sent us semi truck loads of food and
water. They also provided us loans with no payments or interest for 3 months
allowing us to get things we need before we get our insurance money. On top of
this they got a new center back up and running in a short time period so we could
get some normalcy in our lives.

Downers
The only bad thing as this point is the new center is a 45 min
drive vice the 15 minutes before the storm. But we have a
beautiful new center which is temporary for one year at this
point.

Lifestyle
we have a business causual dress code except for Fridays when we can wear jeans.
The hours are okay and they are upfront about the hours when you are hired so
its really your choice if you want to work for them.

Compensation
Pay is above average for this area. Although for most people it
is not a yearly pay you can raise a family on as a single family
income. We have pretty good inexpesive insurance including dental
and vision. I think at this point all departments have bonuses
you can earn.

Advice to Jobseekers
I always think for a newcomer prior prep before you hire in for a
company. Use sites like Vault and google the company to see what
their values are and if they match you. Do you work and smile
and be happy.
