Helping the customer have a great experience and seeing them come back.
Downers
Customer issues caused by miss information by other employees. The left hand not communicating with the right hand to make sure we are all on the same page with each other.
Lifestyle
There is always something new everyday. the work hours vary and around christmas time it is all hands on deck so it makes it hard to see family and friends especially if they live in a different state.
Compensation
I was originally a manager before corporate downsizing eliminated my position. My salary is not typical for someone in my position being hired in today. Today someone being hired can expect to make $7.00 - $7.50 per hour. We do have ability to participate in 401k, purchase stock, and they offer medical, dental, life, std, ltd, dependant care, and pre-tax health savings account.
Advice to Jobseekers
Make sure you enjoy working with the public, and have good problem solving ability and are flexible to adapt to an ever changing need corporate or otherwise. The job outlook for this I believe is steaduy but if you have to support a family on this income you had better work 2 jobs or have someone to help out financially with the bills because this job is geared towards single people not families with only 1 breadwinner.
