Job Requirements
Quality of classese for a Geologist: must know petroleum Geology,
sedimentology, seismic and logging interpretation,geological
mapping,structural analysis, thin section examination and so on.
must have skills on pc or unix,such as word,exel,powerpoint and
winsurf.
In order to grade to become a professor or the same level, he
should pulish two or three theses (on AAPG, SPE or the same
level) and one professional book. And also, he must hold a master
or Ph.D. Degree, and pass the interview by a special group.
Workload: must complete one to three projects a year.
must have good english skills, especially on translation and
reading.
The professional knowledge of A Geologist must stands in front
the national level or AAPG level.

Lifestyle
The lifestyle is hard to say, sometime it is leisure, some time busy. The work
time is 8 hours/day and 40 hours/week.But mostly you should work hard for about
44 hours or more per week, and no bonus for the extra hours.
If you are lucky enough, you may have a chance or three chances to travel per
year.
At present, the company social events have become less than ever before.one or
two times a year.
You need not to care about about your dress, no dress code at all.
Whay you have to do is to make good relationship with others, especially with
managers.

Advice to Jobseekers
It is hard for a new graduate student to find such kind of job in
China. If you have no relatives or friends work in the company,I
think you should prepare $1200-6000 to bribe the manager of the
human resource department or relative managers.
