Job Responsibilities
Using telephony, SAP computer system, to track and trace mail, lodge and resolve conflicts for Canada Post customers, provide training to new employees, grant claims on damaged items, give mailing rates and information regarding mailing.
Job Requirements
You must have your grade 12 diploma, a typing speed of at least 45 words per minute with 97% accuracy, be fluent in both English and French and have an extensive background in the use of computers and all microsoft applications.
Uppers
The pay is definitely a big upper. The environment is very relaxed and you do not have to dress up at work. The hours are great and no weekends!
Downers
Listening to people complain about the mail. Having people yell at you because their welfare cheque did not come in.
Lifestyle
Hours are great, there is limited travel and all travel is during the work week. We have a social committee and every day there is a special event going on, we have a big gym for the staff to work out in on their break or before and after work, and you can wear your sweats to work and be comfortable all day. Great benefits, both medical and dental, and a great pension program.
Compensation
This position is on an hour basis, at 19.45 per hour for 37.5 hours a week. Three weeks vacation per year, five family days, 15 sick days which can accumulate. A yearly bonus on your date of hiring and a team incentive which is 4% of the companies revenues each year.
Advice to Jobseekers
You have to be able to separate work from home because you deal with all types of people. Be able to have two or three computer programs open and use them to take information while talking on the phone. The environment is a great one to work in if you are good with people and enjoy socializing with your co-workers.
