Job Responsibilities
It is basically like running a small business. You have 6
objectives that you need to meet each month. I have a certain
amount of credit card, merchant facilities and insurance sales.
I also have minimum amount of lending and deposit business that
the branch needs to grow by. I also have to moniter each month
the amount of income and expenses that the branch has incurred.
I also am responsible for the management of staff and monitoring
their progress.

Uppers
The best part of job is the amount of control that you have and being able to
implement any strageties that you feel may be effective to increase sales volume.
The management of staff is also rewarding.

Downers
The worst part of my job is that you to rely on other
departments to service your customers. If something is not done
correctly or not done on time, it is still your responsibility
to solve.

Lifestyle
The work hours are flexible. The amount that you need to do is dependant on
achieving the branches objectives for each week but you also have to keep in mind
that there are certain deadlines that you need to meet for the customer. If you
do not meet these, the Bank and the customer can become legally liable in certain
cases. This makes the job quite stressful. You need t be very organised.
Ocassionally we need to travel for certain conferances. Depending on how far it
is away from your home town depends on how you travel, either by plane or car.

Compensation
The base salary is dependant on your previous experience. If you
can meet all the objectives that are required of your branch,
then a very generous bonus is available each quarter of which
the branch manager is given half. Depending on the length of
your employment, the board of directors issue approximately
$1000 worth of shares in the company. you are also entitled to
staff discounts on interest rates and fees.

If you have a genuine desire to meet your customers needs, then
I would recommend this position. Everything you do is for
them. The job does require a lot of your personally but you end
up becoming a very desireable canditate for future employers.
