Highest Level of Education: MBA

Job Responsibilities
Serve as an intermediary between technical and business people.
Uppers
Bank of NY truly follows bankers hours-- 9 am until 5 pm. People seem quite friendly thus far--and people can develop career paths within the organization.
Downers
In some ways it is like working for the Federal Gov't--people become complacent--develop a niche and never leave.
Lifestyle
9 am - 5 pm. Travel thus far = 0. Dress --> Business casual. Diversity = Quite international.
Compensation
I did not negotiate coming in--and they really low-balled me. Yet, there is room for upward mobility --and I hope my salary will increase with time. The benefits seem quite good though-- including mortgages, personal loans, wide variety of health insurance, life insurance, disability, etc.
Advice to Jobseekers
Technical people think that they have all of the answers. Business people are not willing to learn the technical jargon. Add the two together and you have a recipe for well, me.
