Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include; planning (25% of time), production calculation (20% of
time), supervision of works (20% of time) and client relations (35% of time).
work hours are generally 80 hours per week, although you get a months holiday
after every two months of work.

Job Requirements
A graduate diploma in engineering is necessary, professional classes are given
throughout the first two years including 12 exams which all have to be passed.
the workload of these classes and exams is about 2 hours weekly.

A lot of independance and responsilbilty from the start. very divers
environment. all expenses overseas are paid for.

Downers
work is generally overseas mostly in a number of coutries, so there is a lot of
travelling required, and the working weeks are long (as is the holiday at home).
it is however not likely to stay in one country for more than one year.

Lifestyle
the normal career path is to become an project leader after 5 to 10 years after
which you can become area manager and eventually get on the board. only very few
get here ofcourse, the majority will stay project leader or take a position at
the head office in the Netherlands in one of the more general management
functions.

Compensation
no stocks or bonuses. when working overseas salary is multiplied by a factor
relating to the country of work. for instance in India your salary is multiplied
by 1.6 times you standard salary in your home country. starting salary overseas
for a junior is approx. 40.000 euro per year.
