Job Responsibilities
Month end journal entries for revenue and expenses related to
Energy Resources, FERC reporting, revenue analytics,
uncollectible analysis, energy deferral accounting and reporting,
data requests related to rate cases, and other ad hoc projects.

Job Requirements
The Gonzaga MBA program has a well rounded core curriculum taught
by interesting and informed professors. The electives range from
curious to must have. Expect a grad school workload, with case
analyses/group work, and reading predominant. No problem getting
classes desired.

Energy Resources accounting is closely related to operations.

Downers
The accounting cycle makes it impossible to take off time the
first week of the month, and sometimes overtime is required when
system processing doesn't go as planned.

Lifestyle
Business casual unless you desire the corporate management track. Some travel
for training. Company encourages community involvement.

Compensation
Base salary is $60,000 with an annual corporate incentive
depending on the metrics approved by the BOD. Tuition
reimbursement and great benefits (health, vision, dental, paid
time off).

Advice to Jobseekers
Accounting is an excellent business career, but an accounting
degree and MBA can take you almost anywhere in business you would
like to go. Very portable, too, so you can easily find jobs in
most locations.
