Job Responsibilities
Train graduate students in school psychology program in conducting psychoeducational assessments; screen and schedule intake appointments of new clients; coordinate an intervention program; oversee office in the absence of the director.
Uppers
Seeing clients, doing my own assessments, learning the latest assessment tools, learning about cognitive and emotional functioning.
Downers
Having to read and edit student reports; workload is heavy.
Lifestyle
Work hours are variable, depending on needs of the center and client appointments. sometimes can be there 4-6 hours a day, other times can be there 10-12 hours. Office casual, but director mainains a certain level of professionalism in appearnace and will not allow any type of unprofessional behavior in respect to the client.
Compensation
My position is part-time, so do not make too much and have no benefits, but sometimes can get a class posid for you.
