Job Requirements
The program is not extremely strong in academic requirements.
However to review and understand what is happening in the
program requires a certain degree of academic exposure and
agility. Metrics are critical to the program and I often fall
back on my educational experience for this information.
Classes are available for certification (SAP CRM) as well as
other degree programs. Anteon does provide tuition assitance
for degree programs and will cover training related to the
contract.

Uppers
Busy, active work environment. Involved in all aspects of the contract from the
management point of view. I know everyone on the contract and work for the
program manager.

Downers
Because I am in the Program Office, I don't get involved in the
real work of the program and sometimes feel left out. I also
get assigned menial administrative tasks which don't have much
to do with quality managmemet.

Lifestyle
I think there is a good future though I believe project
management will consume the quality positions in the future.
Quality is important but I see project management skills
(scheduling, finance, personnel management) being more
marketable. My next certification will be in Project Management
perhaps from APICs. I have also just completed my Six Sigma
Master Black Belt certification but it has no effect on my
current position. I believe it will have an effect for other
jobs.

Compensation
I have been working for the company for five years. Base salary
is $94K (after yearly cost of living raises and a promotional
raise). I am also involved in the profit sharing program with
the company which varies each year ($6K last year). Benefits
are competitive in health, disability, and insurance.
Advantages in benefits are tuition assistance (Anteon paid for
my entire Master's program with only 1 year commitment) and
fully vested 401K program for Anteon's share ($.50 on the
dollare up to 6%). I believe I am on the upper end of the
quality scale for Anteon.
