Job Responsibilities
1. Interact with our manufacturing group on a monthly basis to
plan future and current production for the complete line of Honda
and Acura automobiles.
2. Receive and process final automobile orders from the Honda and
Acura dealer body via our dealer allocation system. Once
processed, a order confirmation is sent to each dealer confirming
actual units that will be shipped to their dealership in 30-60
days for order date.
3. Coordinate efforts with our field/sales associates on a daily
basis in support of numerous inquiries from our dealer body.
Also, make periodic visits to local dealerships to assist with
new order processes/software training.
4.)Coordinate and oversee production of desired
models/types/colors for auto show events, Tournament of Roses
Parade and various events sponsored by American Honda.
5.)Manually distribute access automobiles for wholesale to
dealers, not allocated via our dealer allocation system.

Job Requirements
Hiring requirements include a college degree in a related field
or work experience.

Uppers
The most exciting areas of my job is working directly with manufacturing
directly. This is great exposure for anyone interested in a long career in the
automotive industry. Also, the once in while dealer visits to see first hand the
results of your work each month (sales figures due to dealers having the right
inventory at the right time for consumer sales). Lastly, having the opportunity
to see unto the future products soon to come.

Downers
100% accuracy is a must with very tight order deadlines. working
long hours during this time of the month is a regular routine.
Being a salary employee, overtime is not my fasvorite word.

Lifestyle
Our day to day evironment at Honda is business attire (semi-business casual for
the ladies - men wear dress shirts and ties Monday through Thursday). We
generally do business travel a few times a year for meetings with manufacturing.

Compensation
Base salary is approx $60,000+ a year
Yearly X-mas bonus is usually approx. 2-5% of yearly earnings
Associate special lease/purchase programs (excellent programs -
the lease only applies to automobiles)

I would encourage job seekers to seriously consider obtaining
their college degree either while pursuing a career at Honda, or
prior.
