Job Responsibilities
Interpret uUniversity policy and communicate effectively to students. Liaise and negotiate with senior academic staff within faculties, including Deans, Associate Deans and Sub-Deans. Liaise and negotiate with general academic staff, including course coordinators and lecturers. Resolve issues amicably and expediently of behalf of students. Assist students with the submission of appropriate applications within the Review of Grade process. Prepare cases and represent clients at Faculty Education Sub-Committee Hearings, Appeals Hearing and Exclusion Hearings. Provide assistance to senior staff in the formulation of policy and implementation of procedure. Conduct educational research activities as requested. Prepare position papers, briefing notes and summary notes on required matters. Provide ad-hoc legal and immigration advice to students. Attend meetings and functions related to education with other representatives from the University and other organisations as requested.
